Bio

Dr. Poku has been board certified and practicing electrophysiology since 2003 and joined Georgia Arrhythmia Consultants and Research Initiative in 2006. He is a graduate of Clark University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors in Mathematics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He obtained his medical degree at Tufts University. Dr. Poku completed his internship and residency at Duke University where he was assistant chief resident. Dr. Poku completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology Fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the both American College of Cardiology (ACC) and of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). Dr. Poku serves on the Board of Trustees for Clark University, as a delegate to the Georgia Chapter of the ACC and as Treasurer for the Association of Black Cardiologists.
